On October 29, Washington-area professional athletes will step out as fashion models and step up as role models at the 7th Annual Walk This Way Charity Fashion Event. DC-based nonprofit organization Becky’s Fund returns to the Italian Embassy (3000 Whitehaven St. NW) to host its highly anticipated annual fashion show, featuring luxury Italian designer, Canali. This year’s event will also feature a special exhibit called Voices by Brooklyn-based artist and activist Cat Del Buono, whose work was inspired by her two years of volunteering at domestic violence shelters throughout various US cities. Tickets are on sale now. Proceeds will benefit the “Men of Code” program — training athletes to become leaders and allies in the movement to end intimate partner violence — and enable Becky’s Fund to enter three more schools in 2016.

Attendees will have the chance to rub elbows with the DMV’s favorite professional athletes, performers, politicians and elected officials, business leaders and fashion influencers. Tickets for the high profile event start at $250 for standing VIPs and $300 for seated VIPs, and will include specialty drinks, gourmet food and tasty desserts, as well access to the night’s buzz-worthy feature show.
