Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Chance For Life is back in a big way for our 11th Annual Charity Poker Tournament and party, and you’re invited to be a special guest!

A snowstorm didn’t stop it last year, as more than 325 joined us at the Sphinx Club to raise money for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and pediatric cancer research.

This year, they’re going even bigger:

  • A 400-person poker tournament with the winner earning a spot in the 2016 World Series of Poker
  • Exclusive Wine & Chef’s Tasting with pairings created by Top Chef Alumni and renowned restaurateurs, Mike Isabella and Jen Carroll
