Fashion designer and DRESSED star Nary Manivong admits that what you wear is important… but who you know is the real pushbutton for power.  Washingtonians have always known that networking is a secret to success.  Apparently the fashion world is no different. 

“Fashion is all about relationships!” he sang into the stylish crowd at Bethesda Row’s Landmark Theater last Thursday evening.  Well-heeled guests like THE Artist Agency President Lynda Erkiletian, Conversa Group’s Nichole Devolites, and Mix 107.3’s Chilli Amar arrived in full force fashion to watch the exclusive DC premiere of DRESSED by David Swajeski – and maybe network their way to a Manivong notice.

The documentary tells Manivong’s emotional journey and road to success from homeless and abandoned youth to style industry innovator. As Capitol File editor-in-chief Kate Bennett (moderator of the after screening Q & A) observed, “It feels good to see a success story!”
