Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. When Mayor Adrian Fenty stops by, you know the party is really raising the roof! The Mayor joined Eden Lounge owners Charles Zhou, Kunal Shah and Vinoda Basnayake to celebrate the winter opening of the I Street hotspot’s rooftop.

NBC 4 anchor Craig Melvin, Patton Boggs partner Matt Cutts, Luxxery COO Hiba Hakki, and author Helena Andrews were among those who enjoyed the sizzling fall night and starry scene.

Signature winter-inspired cocktails, sampled hors d’oeuvres from Eden’s new Asian-fusion happy hour menu and Eden-brand cigars gave party-goers a taste of Eden’s winterful offerings.
