Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. DC Eats Kicks Off with Celeb Snackin’ at the Social Safeway

Tuesday afternoon at Georgetown’s “Social Safeway,” two local food personalities greeted guests and gave cooking demonstrations to kick-off Destination DC‘s latest project DC Eats. Marybeth Albright, currently competing to be the Next Food Network Star, and Chef Huda Mumin of CW fame, cooked up some seasonal fare while shoppers enjoyed popsicles, balloons, face painting and other smiles in the aisles.
