Kate Michael

Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

Our warmest wishes go out to Jessica Gibson, who today announced that she is leaving Latin Concepts to take on a new position with Republic National Distributing Company. She’ll be introducing Constellation Brands’ wines to restos in DC… and we can’t wait to taste ’em!

In related news, good friend Anna Croll will be replacing Jessica as ‘Our Lady of the Latin resto Empire’ at Latin Concepts. Anna comes from the Willard InterContinental. Congrats on the move, Anna!

And Sherry Moeller and Dannia Hakki have finally made it official. We’ve been hearing about plans to combine the experiences of this former Capitol File editor and PR maven since early summer. Thanks to FishbowlDC, we now know that the name of the new combo’s PR agency will be Moki Media. Cute.
