Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. 11th Annual Heart’s Delight Brings Top Chefs and Bordeaux

Some studies have linked moderate consumption of alcohol with reduced heart disease. Our study linked master winemakers, culinary greats and distinguished guests with a Heart’s Delight!

The 11th annual Heart’s Delight Wine Tasting & Auction brought all of these together at the Omni Shoreham Hotel Saturday evening to taste the latest growth Bordeaux and sample culinary delights from some of the country’s best chefs – including local Top Chef Runner-up Bryan Voltaggio (Volt) and Top Chef Master Graham Elliot (at right with author).

Elliot is an outspoken supporter of the American Heart Association and its mission, becoming involved with AHA and Saturday’s event in honor of his nephew who requires a heart transplant.
