Your Newest Sunday Evening Staple: Movies in the Magnolia Room
Executive Chef/ Proprietor Tony Brown is pleased to announce that Macon Bistro & Larder, located at 5520 Connecticut Ave., NW, 20015, is introducing Sunday Evening Movie Classics in the new Magnolia Room, which is opening February 26th. Guests can sip on Beverage Director Andra “AJ” Johnson’s craft cocktails, each priced at $12, or enjoyed featured beers for $5 each, along with half-price bottled wines, while indulging in the Cocktail Chatter Snacks & Supper menu featured in The Magnolia Room. The Sunday movie night commences on February 28th and the first film starts at 7 PM, with each show lasting approximately 90 minutes. Guests will enjoy big screen legend Bette Davis with three consecutive films that evening, Mr. Skeffington, followed by Now Voyager, and ending with All About Eve.
The following Sunday, March 6th, Julia Roberts fans will want to grab a seat for three chick flick favorites: Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman concluding with Eat, Pray, Love. Next up, for Sunday, March 13th is Joan Crawford with The Women, Mildred Pierce, followed by Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. The Sunday movie series will continue with classic films announced on the restaurant’s website.
The Magnolia Room’s bar will remain open for libations and light snacks being offered until 12 AM, for the duration of the three Sunday evening movies. Reservations are recommended for booking a table for the featured flick, which will be shown on the 55-inch flat screen TV above The Magnolia Room bar.
