#VIDAThrive5k Races to Prevent Homelessness

There was a chill in the air, but a warmth in every heart, as the annual VIDA Fitness Thrive 5k raced around the flat running course at East Potomac Park (Hains Point) earlier this month (10/13/18).

The local fitness club has sponsored the community race and dog and stroller friendly fitness event for four years, giving 100% of proceeds to non-profit ThriveDC, which is committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the DC area.

Radio personalities Kelly Collis and Jen Richer were on hand to emcee the race and awards ceremony.  Collis’ daughters participated and even took first place in their respective age categories!
