Brand New ‘Motto’ by Hilton Introduced in McLean

Hilton, at its McLean, VA property, today announced the launch of its fifteenth and newest affordable lifestyle brand, Motto by Hilton.

“Hilton prides itself on being a leader in the hospitality industry and evolving with the needs of our guests,” said Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton. “Innovation is in our DNA, and as we embark on our 100th year as a company, we are innovating more than ever before. With Motto by Hilton, we are bringing to market something the industry has never experienced with its flexible and affordable room product, desirable locations and guest-empowered service.”

That’s right, flexible rooms.

Whether friends, colleagues, or family traveling together, Motto offers the ability to link rooms in a chain for the first time.  And with three distinct room types – standard, flex (social space with a wall bed), and bunkie (fits 3), there are any number of possibilities to customize the experience to fit guests’ needs.

This refreshed hotel experience is a potential game changer for the hospitality industry that really highlights the change in modern travel culture with a focus on prime location, affordability and customization.

The variety of types of highly efficient rooms all include space-saving features like segmented shower and toilet stalls, and multi-functional furniture that can be discreetly stowed when not in use.

All Motto by Hilton rooms will be outfitted with Hilton’s Connected Room technology, allowing guests to control features like temperature, lighting, TV, etc. in their room from their Hilton Honors mobile app.

Motto by Hilton hotels will even allow guests to split payments between more than one person at the time of booking, avoiding any awkward or  complicated math during checkout.

Motto by Hilton prices will vary by market and will enjoy the benefits of Hilton Honors.

“We’ve deconstructed the traditional hospitality experience to create something truly fresh and exciting,” said Tripp McLaughlin, global head, Motto by Hilton. “This will be a global brand, heavily targeting the destinations where our connected and confident travelers want to travel to the most.”
