This Hotel Remained Open and Now Has Months of COVID Safety Experience

As DC cautiously moves ahead with re-opening, residents and guests are venturing out to explore and have some of their favorite experiences… like eating at restaurants and booking staycations for self-care, relaxation, and a new point of view.

The Darcy Hotel is actually one of a few DC hotels to have remained open throughout the pandemic – and it continues to practice all CDC antimicrobial disinfecting/sanitary guidelines, maintains the highest-grade cleaning products, and has months of experience with enhanced safety protocols in place.

Things are certainly different during these challenging times, but The Darcy continues doing its best to offer stays with service, style, and safety. Guests with vehicles will self-park, congregating areas are discouraged, room service is not quite “full service,” and atmospheres are less lively, but amenities — like the gym (currently only three guests at a time) and on-site restaurant, Gerrard Street Kitchen — have opened back up to much anticipation.

Guests will also notice that mini-bars, pillows, and other non-essential items have been removed from guest rooms, glassware has been replaced with disposable and sealed paper cups, and turndown service is on hold, but they will likely feel relieved to see staff wearing face masks and gloves, hand sanitizer dispensers placed throughout the hotel, and other small touches of The Darcy’s “Safety & Well-Being Promise.”
