Taste (And Shop!) Georgetown To Look A Bit Different in 2020
Taste of Georgetown is going to feel a lot different this year. 2020’s iteration may do away with the weekend of crowds taste testing in the streets, but instead, it features the neighborhood’s 65+ restaurants in a three-week promotion that also highlights the area’s retailers, salons, and other services.
October 5 -25, 2020 Taste & Shop Georgetown will offer specials and promotions, deals and gifts with purchase all over the neighborhood in an effort to thank patrons for their support of Georgetown businesses.
“Taste of Georgetown has been a Fall tradition in DC for more than two decades, and we were eager to honor the spirit of the event with a new format that encourages visitors to shop and dine in Georgetown, safely and comfortably,” said Nancy Miyahira, Georgetown BID Vice President & Director of Marketing. “It’s the perfect opportunity to support your favorite shops and restaurants that need your business now more than ever.”
The Georgetown BID has also worked with over 30 restaurants and DDOT to permit outdoor “Streateries” at more than 25 transformed locations throughout the commercial district –available to diners seeking even more socially distant, outdoor dining options during Taste and Shop Georgetown.
