Rosa’s Diner A New Mt. Vernon Triangle Classic

There’s a new neighborhood diner in Mount Vernon Triangle. Rosa’s Diner is giving the classic American diner a decidedly Latin makeover.

Found in a restored Victorian rowhouse next to the Moxy DC, Rosa’s brings the requisite booths, counter stools, and all-day comfort food, but with plenty of spice and swagger.

Think pupusa-topped Eggs Benedict with aji amarillo hollandaise and birria beef; a Diner Smash Burger Melt with caramelized onions and smoky bacon; and Churro French Toast with roasted pineapple butter and guajillo maple syrup.

Go for the coffee, stay for the cocktails (or the creative nonalcoholic drinks) inspired by Latin America.

Led by Executive Chef Francisco “Chef Cisco” Pomalaza, the menu is nostalgic without being stuck in the past. It’s diner food with a little more sazón, surprise, and personality.

Open daily from 7 am to 9 pm, Rosa’s is already making a case for becoming your new go-to for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner… or that “just one more bite” kind of afternoon.
