“Millennial Friendly” Generator Hospitality Space Now Open in Dupont

It’s not exactly a hostel, but we can’t blame you for thinking it sounds like one.

Generator opens its second U.S. property — the first was Miami — at 1900 Connecticut Avenue between Dupont and Adams Morgan this month. The place is already taking reservations for guest stays, with social spaces and food and beverage options coming soon. “Interactive programming” is also being scheduled.

It sounds a little like an auberge mainly because it features both shared (some with bunk beds) and private rooms, and is exceptionally budget-friendly.  It also calls itself “millennial friendly” which speaks both to its cost and its culture.

Amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, and social/coworking spaces.

We think you should go for the 747 pieces of guestroom art that Lou Verne (Studio 11) created to generate a twist on politicians of bygone eras. Then stay for the room rates starting at just $35 (for shared accommodations).
