Georgetown’s Most Coveted Crawl Returns… [The Georgetown House Tour]

Mark your calendars and mind your curiosity… the Georgetown House Tour is back on April 18, and it’s serving history, hospitality, and a little high-design voyeurism.

Hosted by St. John’s Episcopal Church, this 93rd annual affair isn’t just a neighborhood stroll, it’s the gold standard of house tours, drawing design devotees and architecture aficionados by the thousands. Translation: yes, you can peek behind those perfectly polished Georgetown doors. This ticket gets you inside!

The self-guided setup starts at the church (ticket, map, and mild excitement included), then sends you weaving through a lineup of homes that balance historic bones with modern glow-ups. Think carriage houses turned chic compounds, Victorian beauties with storied pasts (hello, Olivia Wilde childhood home), and even a stop at the storied City Tavern Club, because nothing says DC like a little presidential pedigree with your property tour.

And just when you think you’ve peaked, there’s the Parish Tea, a midday moment of sandwiches, sweets, and civilized sipping back at St. John’s. It’s a little time to refuel and reset (with a side of “should I host more?”).

The lead-up lineup is equally luxe. A garden-party Patron’s soirée at the historic Prospect House sets the scene, while a design-forward evening at Ateliers Jacob features insights from Barry Dixon, for those who like their interiors with a side of expert commentary.

The best part? Beyond the beauty and bragging rights, proceeds support community programs serving DC’s most vulnerable, so your Saturday stroll doubles as something seriously meaningful.

Charming, curated, and quietly charitable. Georgetown’s most iconic house tour is back, and it’s ready to open doors. Literally.
