Game, Set, Southeast: DC’s Padel Moment Is Coming

Move over tennis. The District’s newest racquet obsession is headed to the Bridge District, bringing three courts, global bites, and a fresh reason to rally in SE.

Coming to Southeast DC in Spring 2027, Capital City Padel Club (CCPC) is set to bring the world’s fastest-growing sport to the District with three outdoor courts, a globally inspired food and beverage program, and clinics for players of every age and ability. The new club at 633 Howard Road SE is a first for the District.

The brains behind the bounce? Redbrick LMD and Tennis Central, the DC-based racquet-sports outfit helmed by husband-and-wife team Yann Auzoux and Olivia Ricchi. Expect leagues, lessons, youth camps, and plenty of opportunities to turn a friendly match into a full-blown social scene.

And Southeast is already serving up a racquet revival. With the Pro Padel League selecting DC for its 2026 season, the capital’s appetite for the fast-paced, glass-walled game is gaining serious momentum. Consider CCPC the next big play in a neighborhood that’s increasingly about more than just development.

Preview events are planned for fall 2026. So sharpen your serve, round up your doubles partner, and get ready to rally. In Southeast, the social set is about to meet its match.
