This year, Westfield Montgomery celebrates the Year of the Snake with cultural activities and performances for all ages.
Attendees can look forward to spectacular lion and dragon dances, captivating musical acts, dynamic kung fu demonstrations, and hands-on arts and crafts, including calligraphy and lantern-making workshops. Plus, don’t miss a complimentary photo booth activation. Each day will feature a similar lineup of celebrations, but the first weekend will kick off with opening remarks from Taylor and Garrett from Love is Blind DC, esteemed guests and Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) leaders. The festivities will culminate on February 8 with an exciting Lantern Festival, complete with interactive riddles and prizes for participants.
As part of this celebration, Westfield Montgomery invites shoppers to participate in a cherished Lunar New Year tradition by donating their gently used clothing to benefit Interfaith Works. Those who donate will receive a special red envelope, known as “hongboa”, or “lucky money” to redeem at participating retailers within Westfield Montgomery. Only from 11AM – 3PM on January 25th, while supplies last.
A full line up of the events can be found here and guest are encouraged to RVSP (for free) here.
