Businesses Spread Cheer Citywide With ‘DC Holiday Lights’

If you’re looking to experience some holiday cheer, you can find it through the end of the month at some incredible — and award-winning! — holiday displays across the city.

Over 150 businesses in thirteen of DC’s commercial corridors participated in the DC Holiday Lights coordinated citywide effort to delight with seasonal magic and support small business. The best of those holiday lights displays were revealed at a recent DC Holiday Lights (Virtual) Awards Ceremony.

“The true aim of Holiday Lights this year is to rally residents District-wide to support our small businesses this holiday season, in whatever ways they can,” explained Brianne Dornbush, Executive Director of District Bridges. “Local businesses are the heartbeat of the District, and we’re in danger of losing the very businesses that make our city and neighborhoods so unique.”

DC Holiday Lights continues through December 31, leaving a little bit of time for residents to explore all thirteen participating commercial corridors… and maybe even participate in DC Holiday Lights’ (Virtual) Scavenger Hunt.
