Cheers! A Trio of Boozy Biden Inaugural Celebration Options

Cheers to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris! While public in-person activities celebrating the inauguration have been canceled, we know that DCers still love to raise a glass to the occasion.

Here are three of our favorite boozy ways to commemorate Biden’s Big Day:

Jack Rose Dining Saloon introduced its Inaugural Cocktail Kit, which is actually a 4-course menu of drink delights for two (with garnishes and instructions included). The “boozy new deal” starts with a celebratory champagne cocktail — the Ameri-tivo — and goes on with other American-made spirits for a Mint Julep, Cozy by the Fire, and Brandy Alexander. ($75/kit)

Gerrard Street Kitchen is introducing a pair of libations (a cocktail and a mocktail), both colored cobalt blue, to fête the color of the Democratic Party and celebrate the 46th U.S. President. In celebration of the Biden/Harris inaugural festivities, patrons can sip Gerrard Street Kitchens’ We The People and The All-American to pay tribute to President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris and their swearing-in ceremony.

“The martini is an American cocktail; and is the quintessential power drink in a power town,” says Jaime Velasquez, Gerrard Street Kitchen’s Executive Chef, and Director of Food & Beverage. “Our mocktail version is a testament to President-Elect Biden’s teetotaler practices.” And for those celebrating at home, Gerrard Street Kitchen will offer its recipes.

Atlas Brew Works has released a pair of brews – that sold out in moments upon their initial release – but has a second offering that should be available in February. So even if you missed the first release, you can still belatedly sip to the swearing-in with either Amtrak Joe’s Pilsner or Madam Veep’s IPA.

Made in collaboration with OccasionAles.com and featuring original artwork commemorating the President-elect, Vice President-elect, and the 2021 Inauguration, Amtrak Joe’s Pilsner is a light and refreshing lager brewed with Saaz and Mt. Hood hops, and Madam Veep’s IPA is a hoppy and juicy India Pale Ale brewed with Mosaic and Citra hops.
