Busboys & Poets Reopens Flagship with Free Open Mic Night

Busboys and Poets announced the reopening of its flagship location at 14th & V Streets after a brief closure for renovation.

Just one year shy of a 20th-anniversary milestone, Busboys and Poets now has an upgraded space, a state-of-the-art soundsystem, new artwork, and some exciting programming.

“We’re thrilled to reopen our doors and celebrate nearly two decades of service to our community,” said Andy Shallal, owner of Busboys and Poets. “The renovation is a reflection of our commitment to providing a vibrant, inclusive space where people can connect, enjoy great food, and engage in meaningful conversations.”

To kick off the reopening, Busboys and Poets hosts a special event featuring a free open mic night starting at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. This event is open to all, offering an opportunity for local talent to shine and for the community to come together in celebration. RSVP Required. 

Continuing the festivities through re-opening weekend, September 7-8, 2024, guests enjoy a complimentary mimosa or Bloody Mary with their brunch meals. (Non-alcoholic version available if preferred.) *This special is available at the flagship 14th & V location only.
