A First Look at the New Restaurant Opening in the Darcy Hotel

Gerrard Street Kitchen is opening in Logan Circle’s The Darcy Hotel on Monday (11/18/19).  This hotel restaurant isn’t just a nod to London’s West End, the sophisticated new neighborhood gem actually features so many global inspirations. You’ll eat it up!

Executive Chef Jaime Velasquez is at the helm, dazzling with a menu of favorites from around the globe that are a feast of sight as well as taste. It’s ‘around the world in a menu,’ where taste buds will travel through Japan, Morocco and South Asia, albeit with a distinct British and Indian flair.

“Guests are getting a world tour with their dining experience at Gerrard Street Kitchen, as we pay homage to a variety of regional cuisines,” shares Chef Jaime. “Our creations elevate the authentic street-style foods of countries such as Japan, Korea, and India…”

A coveted menu item is Gerrard Street Kitchen’s Chicken Tajine – chicken breast marinated for several days in Moroccan spices, served in its traditional vessel with roasted vegetables, saffron pearl couscous, and a Harissa-tomato sauce. The Beef Wellington is also poised to be a standout, with its tender beef encased in a wild mushroom duxelle, wrapped in a light puff pastry, and topped with a Cabernet sauce, accompanied by seasoned vegetables served on a bed of garlic potato purée. Guests will love Bibimbap with Hamachi, or even delight in the restaurant’s tantalizing raw bar.

The restaurant’s décor pays just as much attention to detail, featuring that supper club/jazz hangout feel so evocative of early 20th century London, offered by Atlanta-based BLUR Workshop. Ritzy, but with a gentle neighborhood feel, guests will dine wrapped in its comfortable neutrals while surrounded by art-deco enhancements inspired by the (arguably) notorious residents of the actual 1920s Gerrard Street.

Gerrard Street Kitchen will serve dinner daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and breakfast daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, with brunch served from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The lounge is open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
