Best Buddies Homecoming Ball

Best Buddies Virginia & DC will host “Homecoming: Two Parties, One Purpose” on Friday, October 30, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

What Makes This Event Special

• Unlike traditional D.C. galas, this unique event directly incorporates the individuals it serves: Best Buddies participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) pair up with renowned local chefs to craft tasting dishes, take center stage during the program, and celebrate side-by-side with attendees.

• Featuring live music from Bootsie and the Groove, high-profile auctions, including a Canyon Ranch getaway and golf with former Washington head coach Jay Gruden, and tastings from top restaurants like Taco Bamba and The Salt Line, the gala offers an extraordinarily inclusive atmosphere where guests and beneficiaries share the floor as peers.

• Running concurrently just steps away, a dedicated $10 Student Homecoming Dance creates a vibrant, accessible space for local youth and Best Buddies participants with and without IDD. The dance features music by DJ 24/7, photo booths, a Kendra Scott Color Bar, a Halloween costume contest, and a dedicated sensory-friendly zone hosted by the National Children’s Museum.

• Tickets for the Adult Gala are $200, and all proceeds will directly support Best Buddies’ regional programs for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development.
