REALM Rooftop Brings a Taste of the Seychelles to Shaw

Shaw’s skyline just got a little more stylish. REALM Rooftop Bar & Lounge, which opened atop 899 O St NW in late October, is the latest addition to the city’s ever-growing crop of high-design rooftops, but with a twist… it’s inspired by the Seychelles.

Developed by Frontier Development & Hospitality Group, the space aims to blend island ease with metropolitan polish. Expect panoramic city views, fire pits, and a sleek indoor-outdoor layout that leans more cosmopolitan lounge than tiki bar.

In the kitchen, Area Culinary Director Keem Hughley (of Frontier’s other DC ventures) draws on Seychellois Creole flavors (think: French techniques layered with island spice). The menu is designed to be approachable and shareable, with globally influenced small plates paired to an inventive cocktail list.

REALM’s arrival adds another polished perch to the neighborhood’s nightlife mix, just steps from the Convention Center.
