Self Care & New Ways to Wellness at 2nd Annual Balian Springs Spa Event

To celebrate wellness — as well as entering its third year in business — Balian Springs, a “self-care social club,” welcomed guests to its 2nd Annual Self Care Summit in late October.

Located only about 25 minutes from downtown DC, in Alexandria, this membership club has quickly become popular for its wide array of options to connect and escape everyday stress.

At the Self Care Summit, visitors to Balian Springs’ smorgas-spa were treated to its immense offerings of tools for therapy, relaxation, and meditation. But the Summit added even more — including a curated selection of national and local vendors to complement meditations, fitness classes, nutrition talks, floating sound baths, lymphatic facial massages, and exfoliating scrubs.

There was the opportunity to meet supermodel, Victoria’s Secret Angel, and JOJA Co-founder, Josephine Skriver, who taught a banded workout class, and over 25 other workshops with nutritionists, wellness technicians, and other healthcare experts.

Guests rounded out the experience by enjoying prosecco pours and frozen hot chocolates, and ending the night with a silent disco in the water!

“Everyone’s approach to wellness looks different, but self-care is essential for all,” said Balian Springs Founder Stephanie Chon.

“Balian Springs is a place to discover what works for you. We offer the tools to empower yourself to better support your communities. Self-care is not a solitary endeavor or reserved for special occasions. We elevate our shared wellness when we strive for collective self-care,”

To build on the success of the summit and as Balian Springs enters its third year in business, Chon shared that the club is offering new ways to visit, in addition to its most popular All-Access Memberships ($575/month). For a limited time, after-hours or “Sunset” memberships ($385/month) are available for those wishing to experience all of Balian Springs’ sauna treatments, hydrotherapy, dining options, and more from 5:00 – 9:30pm.

Want to dip in-and-out of wellness and work? Balian Springs has become a unique remote work haven, allowing guests to use Wifi-enabled flexible lounge spaces Mondays through Thursdays at a reduced daily rate ($135) for serenity and productivity.
