Three Top Places to Celebrate Lunar (Chinese) New Year
It’s the Year of the Tiger according to the lunar calendar and several places in the DC area are offering
restaurant specials and other celebrations to bring prosperity and good fortune in 2022. Here is a trio of favorites:
Hong Kong-inspired Tiger Fork in Blagden Alley is celebrating an extra-special Chinese New Year this year, which happens to be the eponymous Year of the Tiger, and the restaurant’s 5-year anniversary. From February 1-13, Tiger Fork will serve a special a la carte menu of symbolic Cantonese dishes for both dine-in and takeout, each representing a specific virtue to bring good luck for the coming year. And during dinner service on Saturday, February 5, the festive restaurant will host traditional Tai Yim Kung Fu Lion Dancers!
