Chef’s Charcuterie Board at Mintwood Place

For the first time in Mintwood Place‘s existence, the neighborhood brasserie is offering lunch service.

A new in-house delivery service and the return of seasonal patio dining was announced earlier this month, but did you know that you could also now nosh on lunch Tuesday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.?!

Mintwood Place’s à la carte, carryout menu will operate as a pop-up, rotating every three weeks with fun and comfort-food themes.

“We’re thrilled to announce that for the first time in our eight-year history, there will be lunch at Mintwood Place,” said General Manager Gene Alexeyev.  “The pop-up menus are the brainchild of our newly appointed executive chef, Harper McClure, who joined us two weeks before COVID-19 hit.  Each theme is meant to be a fun way for returning and new guests to experience the range of Harper’s cooking.  Themes will run for a three-week period to allow folks ample time to experience these pop-ups.”

Starting today and until July 20, 2020, guests will enjoy the Wise Mouth’s Delicatessen menu which will offer deli favorites such as the Pastrami Sandwich, served on marble rye with slivered onions, mustard and thinly sliced pastrami ($12); Chopped Liver, served on a rustic loaf with pickled garlic and schmaltz ($12); Matzo Ball Soup ($10) as well as Pickled Lox with cream cheese ($11).

From July 21-August 10, restaurant-goers can partake in the McMinty’s Watering Hole menu, which will include Fish & Chips, beer-battered cod with chips and malt vinegar ($14); Corned Beef Hash, diced corn beef with potato, caramelized onion and a poached egg ($12) as well as Bangers & Mash with garlic sausage, red bliss potatoes and whole grain mustard ($10).

Mintwood Place is located at 1813 Columbia Road, NW, Washington, DC 20009, in the bustling Adams Morgan neighborhood.  Lunch is available for carryout exclusively, Tuesday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
