The Doyle Terrace’s Suntory Experience is Sip, Sup, and Snapworthy
One of our favorite Dupont Circle hotspots has done it again! This time The Doyle Terrace fits right into a stylish Slim Aarons image of an iconic summer — complete with bright blue and white striped umbrellas and walls covered in tropical orchids.
The Doyle Hotel’s (1500 New Hampshire Ave. NW) chic neighborhood and in-the-know outdoor gathering spot has partnered with famed Japanese spirits brand House of Suntory this summer to create a scene straight from the files of the mid-century jetset.
And not only is there amazing people-watching from a posh perch on the Dupont Circle hotel’s terrace, but now the great hospitality, dishes, and drinks of the Doyle can be served with special Suntory style.
A limited-time cocktail+ menu will be available all summer featuring Suntory spirits, like The Secret Garden with Roku Gin, absinthe, and cucumber (named after guests’ comments about the terrace); the Hokey Toki with Toki Whisky, strawberry shrub, and egg white (a play on the classic gin fizz); and the Ice Cream Parlor with Haku vodka, passion fruit, Morenko’s honey lavender ice cream.
And linger a little longer while you nosh on shared small plates like Tuna Tostadas, Pork Belly Steam Buns, and Crab Cakes, or more filling entrees on the terrace including Seared Chilean Sea Bass, Steak Frites, and Veal Milanese.
We’d also post up here just to slurp oysters and ogle the stunning and totally snap-worthy backdrop.
The Doyle’s Suntory terrace installation will be on through the summer. The Doyle opens at 2 p.m. daily and closes at 11 p.m.
