The Author Incubator Opens with Sheri Salata Appearance in Georgetown

Fresh on a tour of her book, The Beautiful No, former Oprah executive Sheri Salata was the inaugural guest to open The Author Incubator‘s new location — its second in the area — The Author Training Academy.

In an intimate discussion of her personal memoir, Salata shared everything from her fear of Dr. Oz knowing she was a smoker to an early cavalier attitude toward liposuction to the woes of attempting to write her book in a bustling coffee shop.

It’s stories like these that the Author Training Academy serves to share, helping coaches, entrepreneurs and other creatives to write, publish, and promote their non-fiction books.

“Our vision is to bring more magic to the world by creating a vocational school for non-fiction authors committed to creating hope, healing, and transformation,” says Dr. Angela Lauria, Founder of The Author Incubator.

To celebrate the new opening, all guests received a signed copy of The Beautiful No and enjoyed the chance to engage with Salata, Lauria, and Author Academy staff.
