Stillwater & Stone Makes a Splash in National Landing

A new land-and-sea restaurant is bringing coastal flavors, cocktails, and a social scene to Crystal City.

National Landing has a new place to eat, drink and linger. Stillwater & Stone, the new restaurant and bar inside The Westin Crystal City, officially opened mid-June, bringing an all-day dining concept to the Arlington neighborhood.

The menu takes an elevated-but-approachable spin on American coastal cooking, with dishes designed around seasonal ingredients and a mix of land and sea. Among the opening lineup: pan-seared Norwegian salmon with herbed ancient grains and charred broccolini; bacon-wrapped Jidori chicken breast stuffed with spinach and artichoke; and steak frites with NY strip, chimichurri and seasoned fries.

The idea is less formal hotel dining and more social neighborhood spot. Stillwater & Stone will serve breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner, with a menu built to accommodate everything from a quick daytime meal to a longer evening around the table.

The bar follows suit, with updated takes on classic cocktails, spirit-forward drinks and seasonal creations, plus local craft beer and a curated wine list. Coffee drinkers can also start the day with Commonwealth Joe.
