Snap to It: 8th Annual FotoWeekDC is Coming Up
The 8th annual FotoWeekDC 2015 Festival brings its citywide line-up of exhibitions, events and innovative experiences to DC from Saturday, November 7 to Sunday, November 15.
FotoWeekCentral, at the Former Residence of the Spanish Ambassadors (2801 16th Street NW), will feature the Festival’s anchor exhibition, Aperture: Photographs, an exhibition that tells the story of Aperture, through a display from its print and fundraising programs spanning over 50 years.
In addition to a jampacked ten days of exhibitions, events, projections, innovative installations, film screenings and lectures, the 2015 Festival will be headlined by:
- A panel discussion at the National Gallery of Art with photographer Myra Greene
- Opening weekend of Photo Ark, a new exhibition at the National Geographic Museum featuring work by photographer Joel Sartore
- Nighttime projections at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum
This year’s Festival also debuts the event’s inaugural Curatorial Committee, a group of the region’s top photography editors, curators, collectors and professionals who have aided in Festival programming and planning.
