Museum Of Illusions Teases Fall Opening in CityCenter
There’s a single curiosity box teasing its debut. If you’ve stepped inside to take a snap — not a selfie, it doesn’t work that way — you’ll have noticed that the simple box contains some brain-bending, perception-perplexing tricks of the mind.
But this sneak peek pop-up is just the beginning.
The box is a precursor to The Museum of Illusions Washington DC, which will open its doors this fall at 925 H Street NW in CityCenterDC, with a variety of entertaining exhibits designed not only for the Instagram generation but for anyone who loves to be fascinated by the unexplained and unexpected.
But while you wait for the full Museum of Illusions — complete with infinity rooms, vortex tunnels, kaleidoscope, and room reversals — be sure to check out the pop-up which is free to experience every day from 10am to 7pm with no registration required.
“Visitors to the free installation can let their creativity run wild as they come out of the pop-up with a new photo showcasing superhuman powers as they seemingly climb up walls and navigate ceilings,” according to Ghida Damirji, MOIDC’s owner.
