Another day, another awesome new restaurant opening in Shaw.

The Delegate (901 L Street NW) has a vintage atmosphere with a modern menu.  The large restaurant seats 200 and offers “new American” entrées, a weekend brunch buffet, weekday happy hour (3 – 7!), and a namesake Delegate Burger that’s trying to beat out so many others for best in the beltway.

Literally steps from the Convention Center — and attached to both the Courtyard and Residence Inn Washington Downtown/Convention Center by Marriott — The Delegate is perfect for cocktails pre-event in the bustling neighborhood, especially with those sweeping views of the city from its rooftop lounge/bar that will be coming in the Spring.
