Kastles Elevate Team Tennis in 12th Season

For the next two weeks, the best place to take selfies in the Union Market District won’t be up against a mural or in a bustling food hall.  Instead, those with coveted Kastles tickets will be making the city swoon with their pics of DC on high.  Oh! And the matches are pretty awesome, too, of course.

Only until July 27th, when the pop-up World Team Tennis stadium goes away after the Kastles’ 12th season, can DCers visit this raised platform on the Union Market roof that holds a blue tennis court surrounded by turf grass. Seating only 700

(much smaller than any of the Kastles other vanguard stadiums), all of this season’s games are already sold out.

But even if you can’t enjoy the match (and a 3-course meal) from a VIP dinner table catered by a local professional chef, you may still want to head to Union Market to catch the action.  Your views may not be on high, but there will be large TVs broadcasting the action to spectators on the ground. And while you may not get that raised courtside selfie, you can shop the lower level pop-up store for team merch and activewear from EleVen.

This is DC sporting — elevated.
