IKEA Is Coming to Georgetown

A new design powerhouse is coming to town. IKEA, the Swedish retail giant known for its flat-pack furnishings and minimalist chic, is bringing its signature blend of style and functionality to Georgetown with the grand opening of its first-ever planning location in Washington, D.C.

IKEA Georgetown is set to open on November 5, at 3307 M Street NW.

This new planning location will offer a curated shopping experience. Don’t expect to be walking out with an armful of Billy bookshelves just yet — this is where customers can work one-on-one with IKEA’s design experts to plan everything from kitchens to small spaces. If you’re looking for a complete redesign (and perhaps a dash of Scandinavian magic), this spot will become your go-to destination for planning, ordering, and scheduling delivery for larger purchases.

Customers will also be able to arrange for delivery or schedule pick-up of their orders from other IKEA locations. A pick-up service will be added to the Georgetown location in the near future.
