Homewood Suites & Washington Nationals, a Home Run Partnership

Homewood Suites by Hilton pitched its rooftop — in the heart of DC’s fastest emerging neighborhood — with some fandemonium last week.

An official partner of the Washington Nationals baseball team, the hotel is offering some once-in-a-lifetime experiences for die hard fans this season, including special ticket packages, elevated tailgate experiences on the hotel’s roof, and even the chance to throw out the first pitch at select games!

KSM dropped in on an “Elevated Tailgate,” where invited special guests and Nationals fan enthusiasts flocked to the open air oasis with a direct view of the U.S. Capitol, Washington Monument, and Nationals ballpark.  The pregame party included adult libations, tasty hors d’oeuvres, and time-tested tailgating favorites like as hotdogs and hamburgers.

Nationals’ mascot, Theodore Roosevelt, made an appearance to get the party started, energizing guests and taking photo ops in advance of the game, which that evening pitted the home team against the Chicago White Sox. And once the sun started to set and guests had their fill of the classic foods and cold drinks, the ballgame was literally only steps away — this “Elevated Experience” an easy walk to the electrified Nationals ballpark.
