‘Fight For Ukraine’ Documentary Screens at Kennedy Center
A special screening to mark the release of the documentary Fight for Ukraine: For the Children was held at the Kennedy Center in late February.
The 1-hour documentary, a sequel to ELYSIAN Productionâs 2023 nine-time international award-winning documentary, Fight for Ukraine: 12 Womenâs War, was inspired by a dramatic mural in Kyiv of three pairs of hands â a male soldierâs enfolding a womanâs hands, which in turn are protecting a childâs.
Filmed in various locations across Ukraine, Executive Producer and Director Karen Floyd’s project marks a dark moment in history but also focuses on a message of peace and a desire for hope on the second anniversary of the Ukraine-Russia war.
Following the screening, a reception took place at the National Guard Association of the United States, where Dr. Christina Rahm also held a signing for her new book, Roots of Military Science: Understanding the intersection of conflict, mental health and wellness.
