Dupont First Fridays Rebrands to ‘ArtWalk’

What used to be called First Friday Dupont is now rebranded as ArtWalk Dupont.

ArtWalk Dupont will launch Thursday, May 19^th at 5pm with a gallery walk, musical performance by Dave Manley, chalk art by Chalk Riot, live painting by Shannon Stokes, and more, hosted by the Dupont Circle BID.

“The BID is excited to work with Historic Dupont Main Streets during the transition of the neighborhood’s monthly art program,” Colleen Hawkinson, Executive Director of the Dupont Circle BID said in a release about the event. “The Dupont Circle neighborhood is renowned for its art organizations and ArtWalk Dupont is a way to showcase the neighborhood’s connection to the arts.”

In lieu of taking place, as it did for nearly a decade, on the first Friday of the month, the new monthly event will take place on the third Thursday of each month from 5-8pm and will feature the Dupont Circle arts community as well as BID businesses.
