City Tap House & 3 Star Brewing Company Present ‘Persica Rising’

City Tap House, DC’s popular craft-beer restaurant, has teamed up with DC’s 3 Star Brewing Company, known for their creative craft-beers, to create a new and exclusive brew.  On a recent brewery tour, guests — including K Street Magazine — were invited to try a variety of 3 Star Brewing’s distinctive beers, and in particular the debut of Persica Rising, while also sampling Monks BBQ’s award winning smoked pastrami.

“We leaped at the opportunity to create a house brew with 3 Stars,” Dave Donaldson, City Tap House Beverage Director, admitted to the group.  “I’ve been a strong supporter of their beer since they began distributing, and they’ve been great friends and supporters of City Tap House since we opened in 2013.  We’re all thrilled with the result… and our guests have been equally enthusiastic.”

Persica Rising is a dry, crisp Saison with a bold hoppy bite and a subtle peach finish.  This exclusive new beer — available only at City Tap House — is priced at $6 per draft and $5 per draft during happy hour.  In the upcoming months, look for variations of Persica Rising, including souring, barrel aging, and infusing with fresh seasonal ingredients.
