Celeb Favorite GLOSSLAB is Coming to Georgetown

Some want to sip mimosas and luxuriate over their mani-pedis. Others want their polish done just right, but in a jiffy. GLOSSLAB founder Rachel Apfel Glass is a busy mom who wanted elegance with efficiency on repeat.

Seeing a “gap” in the market for manis during the busy work week, Glass created GLOSSLAB, a hygiene-first, membership-based, waterless nail studio — that is soon to officially open its first DC location in Georgetown at 1533 Wisconsin Ave. NW.

Since opening its first location in New York’s Flatiron District, GLOSSLAB has become a favorite of famous names like Jennifer Garner, Neil Patrick Harris, The Bachelor’s Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell, P.K. Subban, and Minka Kelly, and is exploding with new locations up and down the East Coast.

Whether patrons want their classic mani/pedi constantly refreshed, changed to match each outfit, or touched up on demand, GLOSSLAB has every visit included in an unlimited membership.

If Georgetown’s membership is like other new locations, membership will begin at $99/month for the first three months ($135/month thereafter).  This includes as many manicures, pedicures, polish changes, touchups, etc. as members like. And if those nails need a break, they can put GLOSSLAB on pause until ready again for polished perfection.

GLOSSLABS has hype and a commitment to focus on hygiene. DC’s new membership-based studio features technology-enhanced modern services (think online booking, cashless payment, and contactless check-in and check-out). DC-area members will also look forward to choosing from a variety of trendy performance-based products, like long-lasting gel and non-toxic polishes that they may not find at other nail salons.

According to EastBanc’s Philippe Lanier, who brokered the deal to bring GLOSSLAB to its Georgetown properties, “GLOSSLAB has taken the nail industry by storm and created an experience, grounded in its commitment to hygiene, that EastBanc believes will be well-received by the Georgetown clientele… We foresee GLOSSLAB quickly becoming a staple in D.C., as it has in many other cities, and look forward to watching their success in the years to come.”

GLOSSLAB is planning to open in Georgetown at 1533 Wisconsin Avenue NW in early 2022.
