BLT Steak’s Summer ‘Aperitivo Hour’
Want to be sipping spritzes in Italy all summer? Same. But if you’re caught up in the passport backlog — or your wallet’s just not having it, there is a way to feel like you’re soaking up some of the best of Bari or the Amalfi Coast right here in DC.
BLT Steak DC, along with other BLT Restaurant Group properties (BLT Prime New York, BLT Steak Charlotte, and The Florentine in Chicago), are partnering with Campari Group to offer an ‘Aperitivo Hour’ from 3 pm to 5 pm every Friday through September 1, 2023.
Under the Aperol patio umbrellas, there will be an Aperol cart for specially priced ($12) Aperol and Campari-based drinks and the cocktail menu will feature luxe snacks like Mini Lobster Rolls; Calabrian Chili Deviled Eggs; Burrata Stuffed Gnocco Fritto with mortadella.
“Italy was chosen to enhance our June dining experience… because I wanted to create a sense of familiarity and pay homage to the beloved country that has influence everywhere,” says BLT Restaurant Group Culinary Director Cliff Crooks. “When deciding on the specials for the June menu, I chose some of my personal favorite dishes that are rich in history and added a BLT twist to create pleasing additions to our classic fare.”
Some of those new dishes on the menu for June include the ever-popular Prosciutto & Melon, Hand-Cut Pappardelle Bolognese, and the dish that’ll keep us coming back as we linger sipping our Negroni Sbagliatos… that thinly sliced filet mignon Carpaccio “Harry’s Bar.”
