Alexandria’s Light Horse To Serve Even Better Food with Its Fun

The Light Horse, an Old Town Alexandria popular pub on historic King Street is a friendly gathering place for games like shuffleboard and skeeball.  Now, its new first-floor Dining Bar is going to make it known for its nosh.

While upstairs remains a party room of sorts, guests downstairs will enjoy a more upscale dining experience with seating for 34 — and an additional 22 at its strikingly long bar.

Consulting Chef Chafik Hocine created the updated Light Horse menu, with craveworthy dishes created with products sourced from high quality growers and producers throughout the Mid-Atlantic.  Menu standouts include Chipotle Crab Deviled Eggs; High Country Grilled Quail; Cast Iron Seared Duck Breast, as well as the Blackened Pork Loin and Veggie Gnocchi.

Wash it down with a glass of wine or any of the 18 craft beers on tap and 60 beers by the bottle… with an emphasis on local and Belgian brews.  The restaurant also features a sixtel kegerator, which features a rotating list of hard-to-find Belgian beers and eclectic “one-offs” from local brewers.  The Light Horse is quite the pint lovers paradise!

The Light Horse is located at 715 King Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314.
