A Parade of Looks From the 3rd Annual District of Fashion

Giving DC a taste of the “Fashion Week” frenzy that’s starting up in New York this weekend, the DowntownDC BID presented its third District of Fashion Runway Show on Thursday, September 5 at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in the Robert and Arlene Kogod Courtyard.

District of Fashion showcased Spring and Summer collections from primarily local fashion designers and models, convening hundreds of invitation-only guests from across the DC area.

Celebrity TV personality and stylist Paul Wharton hosted the runway event, which claimed to feature international Elle cover star and celebrity model Olivia Martin, runway music curated by Vette Bailhache, and music spun by DC native DJ Face.

This season’s runway show featured such local favorites as Dur Doux, Shari Henry, SJL Collection, Abrams Wearable, Insight DC, Mylk and Honey Clothier, BeMade, celebrity designer TruFacebyGrace and returning District of Fashion celebrity all-stars Andrew Nowell Menswear, Cheero Citizen, Christopher Schafer Clothier, Grindstone Universal, SincerelyKAJ, and DiDomenico.
