Inside the Tail Waggingly Wonderful 15th Fairmont HOWL-o-Ween
For the 15th year, four-legged fashionistas and their humans were invited to trade their daily evening walk for a little courtyard couture and a pup parade — with an evening of costumes, cocktails, and canine camaraderie for HOWL-o-ween!
Local celebrity judges (KSM’s Kate Michael included!) crowned the most creative, most adorable, and funniest costumed duos, along with a few honorable mentions. The rewards are nothing to bark at, either: overnight hotel stays, dinners, and more.
Of course, no proper puppy party would be complete without treats. Fairmont’s pastry team whipped up peanut butter doggie biscuits and canine coolers kept thirsty tails happy. For the humans? Spooky seasonal cocktails, naturally.
Taking home top honors: Oliver Toast, the 9-year-old therapy dog who stole the show as Abraham Lincoln, accompanied by his human (dressed as the Reflecting Pool). Other standout award winners (not in order) included:
Beanie — the TreatGPT agent (AI has officially gone to the dogs!)
The Gremlien Alien Clan — an out-of-this-world family affair.
Maxine — a wounded butterfly, complete with her catcher.
Sophie — the 5-year-old Chinese Crested channeling Elizabeth Holmes. A truly memorable look!
Holly — the 6-year-old mini Goldendoodle bringing the aloha spirit in her luau ensemble.
General U.S. Grant — (as Toto) — marching down the Yellow Brick Road with his Wizard of Oz family.
