The event is part live discussion\, part cultural reckoning\, and part shopping night\, designed to give women a rare space to talk about how clothes really make us feel. \nWHO: \n\n\nOlivia\, founder and host of Cry n’ Vibe — women’s community platform \n\n\nMadewell Jeans — national denim and lifestyle brand \n\n\nFrankie L. Bethea — lecturer at the Howard University Chadwick A. From corsets that restricted movement to sizing systems designed for a narrow ideal\, to the feminism surrounding women wearing pants and denim at the turn of the century\, what women wear has been used to define\, diminish\, and control. Retail Therapy creates space for women to name that history\, challenge the shame often attached to fashion and body image\, and reclaim how they feel in their clothes.
