SUMMARY:The Big Cake Exchange
DESCRIPTION:On July 20\, 2025\, from 4pm to 6pm the National Museum of Women in the Arts invites you to an afternoon full of cake\, art\, and community building in collaboration with The Big Cake Exchange. \nParticipants are invited to contribute a whole cake and\, in return\, sample slices from a wide array of fellow attendees. The event will be hosted in the museum’s iconic Great Hall\, with views of the assembled cakes from the mezzanine. To-go boxes will be provided to encourage sharing and minimizing waste. Whether amateur bakers or seasoned pastry chefs\, guests are encouraged to befriend fellow cake enthusiasts while sampling sweet delights surrounded by beautiful art. \nStandard event ticket includes museum entrance\, a box to fill with cake slices\, and complimentary yuzu green tea provided by YUZUCO. VIP ticket-holders can attend and sample cakes\, without bringing a cake of their own; limited quantity. \nTickets and Reservations\nRegistration required.\nGeneral admission: $25\nVIP: $75 \nWhen\nSunday\, July 20\, 2025\n4 pm to 6 pm ET \nWhere\nNational Museum of Women in the Arts\n1250 New York Avenue\, NW\nWashington\, DC 20005 \nAdditional Information \n\nEach attendee must bring at least one\, whole\, uncut cake (6” minimum diameter; 7-8” recommended). Guests are welcome to bring more than one cake.\nPurchased cakes are permitted; homemade baking is not required.\nNo cupcakes\, bars\, or pre-sliced cakes will be accepted.\nAll attendees must bring a cake to enter; sharing tickets is not allowed.\nCakes containing nuts will be displayed separately; we encourage all attendees to label their cakes with ingredients and potential allergens.\nWater and complimentary yuzu green tea\, provided by YUZUCO\, will be available onsite.\nEach ticket includes museum admission and a cake-to-go box.\nFurther information on NMWA website.
