This event is a festive\, mix-and-mingle celebration offering food and drink from local purveyors including The Duck & the Peach\, Ama\, Cucina MORINI\, Lucky Danger\, RASA\, Rose Ave Bakery\, Le Storie Wines\, and BINGE Bar. The evening features a silent auction to generate vital revenue for the organization\, with items ranging from weekend getaways and restaurant experiences to pearl and diamond earrings and tickets to local sports and theater. \n\nWHEN: Thursday\, September 18\, 2025\, 6:30-9:30 p.m. \n\nWHERE: Fifth-floor event and rooftop space at the Martin Luther King\, Jr. Memorial Library\, 901 G St NW\, Washington\, DC \n\nWHO: Returning event emcee Robert Aubry Davis\, local cultural commentator\, longtime voice of public broadcasting at WETA\, and founding program director of SiriusXM Satellite Radio\, will lead a brief program celebrating Food Rescue US – DC and its impact on the DMV community. \n\nDC Councilmember Charles Allen has represented Ward 6 since 2015. Trained in public health\, he previously worked to expand healthcare access with the DC Primary Care Association. On the Council\, he has championed education\, transportation\, housing\, public safety reform\, and government transparency.
