SUMMARY:Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic WishBall
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, February 22\, 2025\, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic will host its annual WishBall at the elegantly restored Waldorf Astoria\, Washington\, D.C.  This annual event\, which attracts more than 750 guests each year\, and raises awareness & funds for life-changing wishes for local children in the Washington\, D.C.\, Northern Virginia and Maryland region who are battling critical illnesses.  Last year\, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic raised more than $1.53 Million which allowed Make-A-Wish to grant 376 wishes in Maryland\, DC and Northern Virginia.  While this is amazing\, over 500 children in the Washington\, D.C. region receive a diagnosis that qualifies them for a wish. The funds raised through Wish Ball ensure more transformational wishes are granted for children with critical illnesses in the local community. \nFounded in 1983\, the Mid-Atlantic chapter has granted over 11\,500 since its inception. Wish kids face any number of critical illnesses such as cancer\, pediatric AIDS\, Spinal Muscular Atrophy\, Duchene’s muscular dystrophy\, kidney and heart disease.
