DESCRIPTION:The Art League invites you to celebrate the opening of its two new locations in Old Town North at an Open House Block Party on Saturday\, September 6\, from 5 to 8 pm. \nThis festive evening marks the debut of MUSE Studios (1201 N. Royal Street) and Slaters Annex (800 Slaters Lane) — the culmination of years of planning\, fundraising\, and steadfast support. Together\, these new spaces form a creative campus where art and community flourish. \nThe evening will also feature a 6:15 p.m. ribbon cutting at MUSE Studios with Alexandria City Mayor Alyia Gaskins and other city leaders\, officially launching this exciting new chapter for the arts in Old Town North. \nTake a campus crawl through the new spaces and enjoy: \n\ntouring classrooms and meeting The Art League’s talented instructors.\nlive painting\, jewelry\, welding\, and ceramics demonstrations.\na sneak peek of the Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser: pick up a handmade bowl in advance of the official event at the Alexandria Art Festival (September 13–14).\nunique finds at an art and art supply sale.\ndrinks and light fare while mingling with fellow art lovers.\n\nA complimentary shuttle bus will connect MUSE Studios and Slaters Annex throughout the evening\, making it easy to experience everything the new creative campus has to offer. Visitors to MUSE Studios can also enjoy refreshments courtesy of the MUSE Social Committee\, Royal Restaurant\, Pupatella\, and Slaters Market. \n“This Open House is our way of saying thank you to Alexandria\,” said Suzanne Bethel\, Executive Director of The Art League. “Together\, we’re opening not just new art spaces\, but the door to a flourishing arts district in Old Town North.” \nThe Art League’s Open House Block Party promises to be an unforgettable evening — one that highlights the powerful role of art in building connection and inspiring creativity.
