DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, April 20\, 2024\, St. John’s Episcopal Church will host the 91st Georgetown House Tour\, which is believed to be the oldest\, most prestigious house tour in the country.  This annual event\, which attracts more than 1\,800 guests each year\, gives locals and out-of-towners alike the opportunity to visit historic homes in a variety of styles.  Some exceptional homes and landmarks will be presented this year highlighting the charm and history of Georgetown’s past with modern design and architectural enhancements showing the evolution of the times. \nThe self-guided tour begins at St. John’s Church where guests will receive a House Tour Magazine (which serves as the ticket to the tour) complete with an interactive map and historic information about each property.  Attendees will also receive complimentary admission to The Parish Tea\, which will be held in Blake Hall at historic St. John’s Church\, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  In addition to tea and lemonade\, guests will enjoy delightful tea sandwiches and delicious desserts made by St. John’s members and generous community partners. \nAdvanced tickets for this event are priced at $60 per person ($55 per person for groups of 10 or more) and are available for purchase here.  Tickets may also be purchased at St. John’s Episcopal Church on the day of the tour at 3240 O Street\, NW\, 20007\, and are priced at $65 per person. \n  \nWHEN:          Saturday\, April 20\, 2024.  Homes will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Parish Tea will be served at the historic St. John’s Episcopal Church Georgetown\, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. \n\nWHERE:       St. John’s Episcopal Church is located at 3240 O Street\, NW\, Washington\, DC 20007. \n                         \nWHY:             St. John’s Episcopal Church\, Georgetown Parish and has a long and storied history. DESCRIPTION:Hi-Lawn\, an expansive rooftop bar above Union Market\, is inviting all beer-loving Washingtonians to its inaugural Rooftop Beer Fest on Saturday\, April 20. The daylong festival (12-7pm) will feature unlimited tastings from 16+ breweries\, tacos and Nashville-style hot chicken from guest chefs\, live music and lawn games\, all with stunning views overlooking the city and Union Market District. \nThe rooftop bar will host two three-hour tasting sessions: noon-3pm and 4-7pm. Tickets to each session are just $50/person\, which include unlimited tastings of brews from 16+ breweries ranging from craft producers like Two Roads Brewing\, Allagash and Sierra Nevada; to local favorites Atlas Brew Works\, Right Proper Brewing Co\, ANXO and DC Brau. For those looking for brews without the booze\, leading non-alcoholic brewery Athletic Brewing Co. will pour several zero-proof beers\, while Sierra Nevada will have their n/a Trail Pass IPA and Golden ales for sampling. \nTo pair with the suds\, guests can chow down on tacos from Little Miner Taco\, and Nashville-style hot chicken sandwiches from their new pop-up Little Hot Chicken.
