Legends & Legacy
You are invited to Legends & Legacy on Transit Pier at The Wharf for a free, family-friendly celebration of the legacy and future of women’s sports. From dynamic conversations with leading female athletes to hands-on sports activities, it’s the perfect opportunity for sports fans of all ages to get active, connect with today’s gamechangers and get inspired by women’s sports.
Legends & Legacy, presented by CitySwing, Events DC, TOGETHXR and LPGA*USGA Girls Golf, will hit the green with:
- Speaker series: Hear bold, unfiltered conversations from star athletes and industry leaders, hosted by award-winning sports journalist Jemele Hill
- Swing practice: Stop by the golf simulator inside the CitySwing truck and try your hand at mini golf
- Live music: Enjoy performances on the Transit Pier floating stage to keep the energy high all day
Alongside the Legends & Legacy programming, Tennis of Tomorrow will serve up action-packed opportunities, including:
- Outdoor tournament screening: Watch the US Open Women’s Final live from the Transit Pier jumbo screen courtesy of Heineken
- Meet & greets: Connect with local teams and organizations like the Washington Spirit, Washington Mystics, Howard University Women’s Tennis Team, Black Girls Tennis Club, Washington Tennis & Education Foundation and Girls Rule the Court
- Serve for swag: Check your tennis serve speed and win prizes courtesy of Giant Food
